The city of Ann Arbor, Michigan is working to get their net carbon emmisions down to zero and is estimated to achive this in less than a decade. I noticed simple things around the city like lots of sidewalks (to make it more walkable), cheap/plentiful public transport options, and a year long farmers market to promote local food sources. These played a big role in fighting pollution in the growing city.
